U.S. Veterans Since World War I. The John A. Freyvogel Sons Funeral Home has a proud tradition of conducting
dignified, military-style funerals with Honor Guard for veterans of the United States Marine Corps, Navy, Army, Air Force,
and Coast Guard. In 1921, funeral services, for the first fallen Soldier of World War I, were led by our founder, and

U.S. Veteran Resources Military Honors The Veterans Administration provides military honors for U.S. Veterans with an honorable
discharge. Miitary services include the playing of taps and the folding of the American Flag. Burial Flags The VA provides an American Flag to U.S. veterans who received an honorable discharge. Flag Cases Flag Cases, in a variety of speciality woods and styles, may be ordered at
an additional cost. Headstones and Markers The VA provides headstones and markers for graves of veterans anywhere in the
world and for eligible dependents of veterans buried in national, state veteran or military cemeteries. Flat bronze, flat
granite, flat marble, upright granite and upright marble types are available to mark the grave in a style consistent with
the place of burial. Presidential Memorial
CertificatesA Presidential Memorial Certificate (PMC) is an engraved paper certificate,
signed by the current President, to honor the memory of deceased Veterans who are eligible for burial in a national cemetery. AdministrationThe Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administers the PMC program by preparing the certificates which bear the current
President's signature expressing the country's grateful recognition of the Veteran's service in the United States Armed Forces. EligibilityA PMC is authorized for Veterans who are eligible for burial in a national cemetery by reason of any of paragraphs
(1), (2), (3), or (7) of section 2402(a) of title 38 U.S. Code §112. ApplicationAn eligible recipient (i.e.,
next of kin, a relative or friend upon request, or an authorized service representative acting on behalf of such relative
or friend) may apply for a PMC by completing a VA Form 40-0247, Presidential Memorial Certificate Request Form. More than one PMC may be requested. To expedite the processing of the claim, please submit the Veteran's military discharge documents and death certificate. Do not send original documents, as they will not be returned.
